Grave New World & The Ultimate Series: 1973

A mid the happenstances of 1973, it was, perhaps, the losses that echoed most with what had been unfolding in GT and sports car racing. This was the year the world bid farewell to Pablo Picasso and JRR Tolkien, and it saw Jackie Stewart retire from Formula 1, but also marked the departure of one of racing’s greatest enthusiasts: Georges Filipinetti.
